Danbury Hospital is a member of the Society of Chest Pain Centers and is an Accredited Chest Pain Center.

Danbury Hospital is one of only two Accredited Chest Pain Centers in the State of Connecticut.

Accredited Laboratories and Programs

Echocardiography Laboratory

Danbury Hospital's Echocardiography Laboratory was the first laboratory in Fairfield County to be accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories as well as one of the first 50 labs in the world to receive this accreditation. The Lab is accredited in all three major areas of Echocardiography including Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiology, and Stress Echocardiography.

At Danbury Hospital, our patients have access to the latest state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the expertise of our professional and technical staff who possess extensive experience in all aspects of echocardiography.

Vascular Laboratory

The Vascular Laboratory at Danbury Hospital is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) in all areas of vascular testing including carotid duplex, Transcranial Doppler (TCD), Venous Duplex, Arterial Testing, and Abdominal Vascular Duplex. This places our Vascular Laboratory among the top two percent in the nation — or among the 30 best US facilities — offering high-quality testing for vascular disease.

Nuclear Medicine Laboratory

The Nuclear Medicine Service at Danbury Hospital is fully accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories.  The Lab is the only laboratory in the state of Connecticut to have obtained accreditation in the four areas of Nuclear Medicine, which includes: General Nuclear Medicine, Equilibrium Radionuclide Angiography, Nuclear Cardiology/Myocardial Perfusion as well as Positron Emission Tomography.

At Danbury Hospital, our patients have access to the latest state-of-the-art equipment, as well as the expertise of our professional and technical staff who possess extensive experience in all aspects of Nuclear Medicine.

Marcus Cardiac Rehabilitation Center

The Marcus Cardiac Rehabilitation Center at Danbury Hospital has been fully accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) since 2003.
